Sleep where?

While I was still preg this is what I found when I went to bed. Kev is right next to them. Being nine months preg and usually sleeping one the couch because of indigestion-that's where I slept. I don't know how people sleep with kids in the bed. I dont think there's anything wrong with it. I just don't know how you really get any SLEEP.

Baby Ian

Just some quick pix. Ian Charles Powell was born on Nov. 25th (His actual due date= weird, I know) He was 8 lbs 10 oz and 20 in long. Beating Addy's weight by almost a pound. We're glad he's here and just came home today in time to go eat turkey!!

Twilight

After carefully criticizing the movie verses the book I've decided 2 critical things are wrong.

1. there are about 10 different guys who would have made a sexier, more believable Edward. and he and Bella lacked the right chemistry. As Solae put it they were too busy seeming like they were going to eat eachother. It wasn't loving to me it was lustful. He's supposed to be so romantic.
2. Bella's room lacked her rocking chair. don't ask my why, but that chair added so much. It made her room more homey and it was Edwards spot. Not to mention he would hold her in it too. And don't get me and my sis started on his house and room, we're just going to drop that with a grrr.

So - any nominations for a better Edward? he needs to have darker hair, a slightly better build and be more believable that he stems from the early 1900's. (Maybe if they took some of his lipstick off.)

There were many things that were good- don't get me wrong. It's just never as good as the book.

this pix is of Drina playing a game at Kasha's baby shower a year ago. You had to hang clothes on the line while holding a baby doll with a phone tucked between your ear and shoulder. She was fast but Joni won.

Breakfast, of course

Addy came in our room and first thing wanted her halloween candy for breakfast. They both had to eat something good first. Then they ate a ton of candy and both ended up with lollipops.

My shirt says "There was an old woman who swallowed a fly. . ." There's a pix of a fly, spider, bird, cat, dog, and cow. Don't worry, I didn't swallow the horse, so I'm not dead, although this kid is starting to feel like a horse.

Hudini

In church on Sunday after sacrament meeting, Kev took Callie and Addy straight to nursery. During the break between classes Callie was brought to me with a poopy bum and NO diaper. The leader told me she must have been brought to class without it because they had looked everywhere for a diaper and hadn't found one. She had pooped on the floor. I told her, no way. I took Callie, cleaned her and put a diaper on her. When I returned her the speculation continued. She was on Kev's lap all during sacrament meeting, he would have noticed if she hadnt had a diaper on and we're in such close proximity that there was no way she could have taken it off without being noticed. I know she had a diaper on during the whole meeting. Then they went straight to nursery, no chance to strip.
Her teacher told me that they had discovered a piddle on the floor earlier, but hadn't discovered where it had come from. I told them there has got to be a diaper somewhere, but I was assured that they had looked everywhere. Since there were 4 adults saying this in the small room. I gave up. It had apperantly disappeared.
The relief society pres were cleaning the church the next night. My mom went and can confirm that her diaper still hasn't been found. Our little Hudini.

oh man

I went to put up a cute video of the girls, but don't have enough room on the hard drive to download it. I've used up all my memory space.

Yesterday we went to the hospital and had a 3D Ultrasound done. It was interesting, but I'm not sold on it. (luckily it was free) Here's some of the pix we got of him. You just can't tell a lot from them. The tech did say he has hair and we could kind on see it.

This is the crib set I bought for the baby!! Now we're working on painting circles on the wall. (I don't think it will get done before he's born.)

Mom's 50th bday

Callie and Elliot, aren't they precious. Addy and Callie are gaga for babies right now. Addy's always talking about her baby brother.

And the Aquarium. The aquarium wasn't very big, but it was pretty good. It was kind of nice, cuz we knew when we lost the girls they hadn't gotten very far.

The princess and puppy! The funny thing is that Callie has a lot of puppy traits. You should hear her bark too. It's pretty cute.








We had the girls ready for pix and kev set them on the table and took some pix before we left for the professional pix. Don't ask me why they have their mouths open.

I hate shopping alone

Aren't I cute- Thanks to Kasha!!!!! I was having a hard time finding anything to get this weekend, but she was super shopper to the rescue. The pink was a good choice too-thanks Kasha!!!

PS we also went to the zoo and aquarium, so I'll post more pix of our fam vacation later!!!

Entering the Last Leg!!!!

I'm in my third trimester!!! The baby is really starting to be very active. He doesn't like being pushed on and kicks my books when I'm reading. Reading has been my great escape this pregnancy. I've been eating up books by Marcia L. McClure now that I've finished Breaking Dawn. The girls are doing really good. Addy is getting so tall. I think she'll take after kev. I hope not too much. Callie is signing and starting to say other family members names. She's not a careful or meticulous child like Addy was. She's always got alot of bumps and scrapes. She follows Addy everywhere she goes and is usually toting a blanket in one hand. Addy is VERY excited about her baby brother (no- still no name, please leave suggestions) and tells me I need to push him out. I think we're goin to use this as a learning experience and do a count down, so she'll learn about days and months. Kev's ready for me to have the baby, so that he can have a break from work!! He's doing good too.
School started and now my babysitters are gone. Ari went back to school in Logan. Solae is working at the vision clinic with plans to go to school sometime. Moms down to 4 kids living at home and 3 attending school. WEIRD- HUH!!!

Breaking Dawn

I had a busy weekend with UBIC kev was off and then mom ordered the book over the i-net and it hasn't come still. I love listening to it on audio, but just bought that yesterday. Before we went to the concert and fireworks Callie fell down our porch steps and scratched up her eye pretty really good. She's fine, but looks bad. Yesterday I put a new couch on layaway, since my sis decided to barrel over the back and break the leg off. The girls decided to have a party so I was making food and putting on movies at 2am this morning. I woke up today to kev's ringer and Addy brought me the phone. A fire extinguisher came flying at him on the road today and busted up his car. So I've been on the phone with insurance agents. And I still have to register my van. I also booked a party for usbourne books and my list of people and addresses is due today. I guess I'm saying- I'll let you know when I finish the book. Life is a lot crazy around here.

Bibidy bobity boo

You know how it is when you're sitting on the floor and someone walks by- you ask them for a hand getting up. Well, if you ask Addy for help she will pull a little then she will pull out her magic (pretend) wand and say bibidy bobity boo and you will magically get up!!!
So then Addy figured out that you should have to say bibidy bobity boo to get her un-stuck from her bed in the morning. She won't get up until you pull out your magic wand and say it.
Now what do you think Callie says first thing in the morning when she's up. She screams BOOO at Addy to get her up and out of bed. Wow, she's a smart one.

wow, kinda creapy

I just saw roosevelt's cemetary on national tv. Beat that. One of the contestants on Nashville star.. , who is from roosevelt, had his father die of cancer. So they showed him visiting his dad's grave here in Roos. Charlie Jenkins was a year older than me in high school, so I knew of him. It was just funny how unmistakably that was roosevelt's cemetary. I didn't know I could recognize it.

Kids being silly kids

The girls have started toting their blankets around the house. Callie drags it everywhere. She's a blanket fanatic.

We've recently discovered a few foods that Callie will eat. I've been surprised. She loves cherry tomatoes. And last night she loved purple eyed peas. Her daddy was proud. She has his skin too, so she's got a better tan than me and Addy. It's finally warm enough here that I got a horrible sun burn. The girls have been okay though. Once we mow down the weeds to find the grass underneath we'll have a small patch of grass and I can't wait to let the girls go running in the sprinklers.
Addy loves baby Elliot. Kasha had Elliot Teresa Farmer on May 25 at 11:38. She weighed 6lbs 7oz. and was 19 1/2 in.
We went and visited her last Wed and Thur and Addy keeps telling me we need to go to Kasha and Shan's houses.

Callie has decided that she's a walker. She just roams around our house. Here is video of the day she decided she could do this walking thing all by herself!!

So much to say, so little time

There's a ton going on. But first thing first- if you want to put a comment but don't want to have an account I just opened comments up to anonymous users; but please sign your name, so I know who wrote it.
Callie decided yesterday that she doesn't need help with walking. So she's practicing walking back and forth across the living room. I have video, but no time right now- so look forward to that.
I have no time right now because we had our city inspection yesterday and got our occupancy permit. I've got lots of odds and ends to do before putting our stuff into the house. Not to mention that the only thing I've done in the last 3 days is work on finishing and cleaning our house. I gotta get some laundry done.
So, between Callie walking and permission to move in, yesterday was a very exciting day!!
