I have a video of the kids in the snow, but can't figure out bloggers new format how to get it up. So this is Addy ready to go out, minus her boots. And Callie after the play. The snow was up to Addy's knees and we've gotten another couple inches since then.

Playschool party!

A couple of weeks ago Sue hosted the playschool Christmas party!! The kids had so much fun. They made necklaces and glued cotton balls onto a snowman, besides treats and playing.

Ians haircut

This is the before pix. He was so overdue for a cut, but had been sick and there was no way I was going to try to cut it with him absolutely cranky.

This video is from a week ago. He just walks around practicing walking. He loves chasing and being chased by his sisters. The only bad part is that he's bumped his head pretty hard a couple of times and gotten some pretty good bruises. Oh, and his sisters now don't want him sometimes, so they shut him out of their room. Addy made me spell out "no little boys allowed" and has hung it on the family bathroom door. Callie, ever copycatting made me write for her "no little boys in our room" and that hangs on her bedroom door. It's a good thing Ian can't read.

Autumn Bike Riding

The kids were so happy for some good weather to go ride their bikes and Ian loves to ride his too. He gets so mad when mom poops out too fast for him.

Speedy Spaghetti with Sausage


Now to tell you how I actually did it. I buy Italian sausage from Stewarts in their meat department. They don't make it fresh very often, so when I see it I grab it. It's usually available in the frozen section. It's not turkey.
Cook your spaghetti while you make the sauce
Fry up the meat, onion, garlic til meat cooked.
Add the rest of ingredients and simmer until zuc cooks to tender. Apx 20 min.
I only added the pureed tomatoes and substituted the stewed for spaghetti sauce 6 oz. left out the red pepper flakes and added italian seasoning. (I didn't measure anything, which I hate later, when I try to make it again and can't remember what I did.) I gotta go eat!!

PSS. Laurie- this recipe came out of the book you gave me for Christmas. I LOVE it more and more all the time. It's an awesome book.

This is my projecs it. It's a princess dress for Addy and then I'll start on one for Callie. The goal is to get done b4 halloween. This is a pix of Addy wearing the top and the bottom pix is of the full skirt b4 gathering it. Can you believe all the material this is taking. what a project.

You missed out

Eliot and Kasha came out to have fun for UBIC. We were really disappointed in their children's art in the park though. The next week we went to Vernal's fair and it was so much fun. Here are some pix of what we did. Melinda- if you read this, you guys did a great job!! man- I just realized I don't have a pix of their sock puppets. They really like them.

Here are the pix that won at the UBIC art show. Addy was the only one competing in her category, so it was a clean sweep. I had a feeling that would be the case. Kev had a little more competition. He got second place!! The pix Kev drew is of Addy when she was about 18 mo.

Elizabeth is so good at making the girls scream. the girls are Kristen- friend from texas, Addy and Callie. Sitting with Ian is Natalie and then Callie join them. I didn't know Ian could stand up holding on to furniture. Well- he sort of can.

4th of July

We had a ton of fun on the fourth! We went to Logan to visit the Griffiths' (Cassie don't get mad at me.) and saw Dan and Linds that were here visiting from TX. Funny side note- Ari is going on her mission to Dallas. The kids played hard and we did too. I'll upload a video later. (that's a reminder to me to do it) but here are some pix.

Ever since we got a hotel room with David and Becky, Addy has been begging to go swimming again- which promptly has Callie crying that she doesn't want to go. here's a pix or two of them swimming at the hotel. Ian's first food!

Ian loves to eat now- he has 2-3 meals a day. this is his first time though on 5/16/09.

David and Becky Visit

It was wonderful to see Kev's bro and their family. Not the best trip ever for them. I hope when we go in Oct that it goes better for us. The next time they come will be better, I'm sure. This is a quick video of their trip and ours. We met in Logan where we got to stay with and see Cassie!! And Becky got to stay with her sis. It worked out really well. We met Bro and Sis Griffiths at the temple and it was awesome to see them too. It had been almost 2 years since our last trip to Logan. I think my favorite part was the BBQ at Rachael's, probably because no one had started puking yet. Thank you for being such a gracious host, Rachael.

Kev decided this had to be done, and I admit that it is a lot of fun- just ask my brothers and their friends. Kev still hasn't figured out how he's going to fix the edges and finish it up.

When I looked at my camera's pix I realized that Addy is the one that's been taking most of the pix lately. Lots of pix of the tv, floor, ceiling, table, ect. So here are a couple that weren't too terrible. You should have heard her yelling at callie to hold still and go sit down. Not much new here. When the weather's been good we've been enjoying our trampoline.

Just before we went to Dougie's wedding the girls had to play with Eliot. They are always SO excited to see her.

Ian's Blessing

Of course we would end up doing Ian's blessing on the night of daylight savings. It was hard to get up that morning and get there on time. We had Shan and Michael spend the night and everyone was over the day before for Ivie's bridal shower which went pretty well.
We got there on time and bishop announced that Eliot (my niece) would be blessed first, which made mom sweat it- cuz they weren't there yet. But they came before we had to change the order. During Eliot's blessing Ian pooped his pants. My dad blessed Eliot who is 8 months. Then Kev blessed Ian. His blessing was followed by my friend Amanda W's baby. Since Ian is 3 months and Amanda's baby 3 weeks Ian seemed very big. The hymn before the sacrament started and Kev was holding Ian still. He said "I think he pooped" and I told him that I know he did and grabbed my bag and took him out. There was poop EVERYWHERE. This guy is talented for knowing important dates, luckily I've been one step ahead of him. I had an extra outfit with me when Ian pooped through during Kips farewell and I had one after his blessing. Wow, I had to take every article of clothing off and could only save his socks, sweater and shoes. Ian had a bath in the sink of the mothers room and I spent the rest of the meeting in the mothers room nursing him and having a nice visit with Amanda's sister-in-law who was nursing her son - he was the same age as Ian!!
The pix are some we took quickly before we left for church. My biggest regret is that there isn't a pix of Eliot and Ian together.

Callie bday

Callie's birthday came and went without too much excitement. I made cupcakes and she opened her gifts. She really liked her purse- thanks gma and gpa!! I've not been with it very much lately, so I didn't take any pix. Thanks goodness my mom took pix. so here's a few!!
