I'm sick

i stayed home sick today and Callie's the only one who went with Kev to church. Why is it when kev is sick they all choose to come with me to church. What is it about mom's that kids want to be with them even when it's boring? they're only allowed to watch living scripture videos while he's gone. i did let them have cookies, cuz it's easier than fighting. happy super bowl! blah

Growing out my hair

I want to adopt. Wow, why is that so hard to put out there? 4 simple words that EVERYONE has an opinion about, that's why. And a million questions that don't have answers. We're working on them, and while we do I'm growing my hair out. It's long and its heavy and I truly want to cut it, but then I remember what i really want is another precious person in my family.  i want to enjoy more amazing moments with a toddler. i want to fill the empty seat in our suburban (there are actually two, but let's not get ahead of ourselves). And so it will grow until we find the answers and bring our little one home. The left picture was taken Dec 2013. I've kept my hair about this length for a long time. The right is Dec 2014. Do you like my signature look?

Birthday video

I had some complaints that I'm not blogging lately, so I'm throwing up a video. I have tonz of cute stuff I'd like to put up, but when I have time I don't have internet. Not that I have a lot of time. I'm frantically trying to get Solae's room done in the basement, as well as get babies stuff out and accessible. I can't believe Daisy could come at any time. It's so frustrating not to be ready and at the same time I want to throw my hands in the air and run away from everything (especially pregnancy).

Let the adventure begin

I've seen a couple of these cute kitchens made from entertainment centers. While yardsaling last week I happened on one. When I told the gal what I wanted to do with it she picked her lower price of $7 and I brought home the project.
I was super excited about the cabinets on top. They'd be so cute w cute knobs. Then I realized it's too short so I've been looking for solutions. I was at find a way to raise it or cut the shelf and good by cute cabinets. Then one of my brilliant kids suggested turning it sideways. Now the height is right and the cabinet becomes a pantry. I think that will be best. The kids already love it.
