Valentine's Day

These are the valentine's I made for the kids before they ripped them apart.
We had a very busy day. Me and Kev went out to lunch for our Valentine's Celebration and a drive. Then there was all the ice chipping in the drive way. We gave the kids their valentines just before I started making our dinner. We had dinner at mom's and she made the Steak's and I made the Salmon. It was so pretty I had to take a pix. This is Maple Salmon from Rachel Ray. And it did taste as good as it looks.

A nice warm day!

We haven't been able to keep up with the snow this year, which has quickly turned to ice. Yesterday was so warm that the sheets were able to be broken up and Kev went to work. It's nice not to slip and slide on the driveway now.
The kids loved the project and were out to help.

Ian too!
Kev and Addy had to make it interesting. It really glistened by the morning light this morning.

Holly Days

Vernal sponsors an event called Holly Days and everything is free: rides, entertainment, etc.  The kids all went on the pony ride. Ian wasn't too sure about it. The girls loved it. You can see Callie in the back with my dad guiding her. After this experience Ian started to really get the hang of riding LC. LC is our bouncy toy horse lovingly named by Addy and we all refer to her and the kids are sure to feed her apples everyday after they ride her to the store. Best $20 ever spent.
Addy stayed to ride a Camel, she REALLY wanted to. The other two were done for and I had to take them home. The rest of the pix are courtesy of Solae'. She and my dad took care of Addy and took her on the rest of her adventures.
Which included, but definetly wasn't limited to, bull riding.
This is my dad's attempt. cool pix, so I had to throw it in!!
So sad I forgot the video camera. I am absolutely amazed at how brave she was. Solae' said it was a little scary for everyone and the kid in front of Addy chickened out.
My two FREEZING girls. Addy didn't get home until very late that night. I had to wait up for her. She loved every minute of it, from hot chocolate to Castles to flame dancers.

Ian's Birthday

I know I'm late, but at least I'm getting to it. I knew I wanted to make a train cake for Ian's bday, but I didnt figure it out. so I had 4 small cakes made and Drina said she could figure this out. This is her creation, isnt it fabulous? It was a lot of fun.

Ian had a blast ripping up the cake and eating it.
